Dimple clips (for that perfect dimple in your tie)

Recommended Posts

I ordered these a couple of days ago. I had waited about a year for them to be available. Before you could only buy 100 of them for more money. The smaller quantity packages weren’t available. They are having a sale. These would be good for brothers who want that perfect tie :)

I had a hightschool teacher that went far out of way to make sure we new how to tie the perfect necktie. Ties were a little wider at the time and he made the point that single was good, but a double dimple was far superior.

Thank you Mr. Gautraud, from the class of '56.

It's funny. I go out of my way to make sure there are no dimples in my husbands tie. I didnt know they were supposed to be there.
They look messy to me as If no time was taken with getting it right. LOL

I don't want mine to be perfect so that it looks like a machine tied it ... like some type of clip-tie

I want mine to look like I tied it ... if someone wants to look that closely at it

In my opinion even with the dimple clip it still looks like it was self tied. It looks no different than times that I tied a tie “perfectly” without the dimple clip. I wouldn’t think it was a clip-tie since most of those are child sized ties.

We have a few in our Hall that use the "zipper tie" and some who never untie their tie - they just pull it lose enough to get it of and then tighten it up the next time they wear it ... after a while they begin to look "worn"

We also have some who just wrap around and around then up and thru so they have a "lopsided" knot

My nephew ties his somewhat normally but, he never passes the tie back through as the last step ... so, instead of "dimples", his is quite flat.

Then there are the ones who use the optional knots

Those are some neat knots. I’ve seen at least one of those zipper ties.
