Lost Scroll to the Laodiceans Escape Room

Paul's letter to the Laodiceans existed (Col 4:16) but it hasn't been preserved to our days. This is our only chance to obtain a copy.

 

This is the general premise for this room. The question is, how do we proceed from here.

 

Should this room be:

1. Set in the days of the first century and we must escape with the letter to preserve it
2. Set in our time and we have the opportunity to find the letter and escape the room where it has been hidden since the first century

Well, actually none of those have any effect on the game so both are good.

 

I suggested the year 70 CE because if it were in our days there wouldn't be any reason why we only have 60 minutes to find the scroll. In the year 70 CE the Romans will soon set fire to the house, so there if we don't find that document before it will be lost forever. But any option is good.

So, let's see what we have so far:

• Somewhere in the room/house there is an original scroll of Paul's letter to the Laodiceans 
• We are in the room/house looking for the scroll to preserve it
• The Romans are on there way into the city, burning houses
• We have a limited time, in this case - 60 minutes - before the Romans burn the house
• There are clues that only a Christian would understand

We probably need to outline a few more details before we can start to design the clues.
