Double Blessings

Recommended Posts

I was invited to go to our congregation picnic today at 4 PM. Last night some church put an invitation to their picnic on my car window. Their picnic starts today at 11 AM and ends at 4 PM. Perfect timing,. If I arrived a little late for my congregation picnic. There is a reason why and Jehovah double bless me with 2 picnics. “The blessing of Jehovah—that is what makes rich, and he adds no pain with it.”—PROVERBS 10:22. Oh well, maybe a little stomack pain with all the food.

My dear Brother Glenn,

Excuse me for my thickheadedness, you went to both picnics?

May I ask, if you did, what motivated you to go to the first one?

Or are you joking with us? (Sometimes with cultural / vocabulary differences the meanings of what an individual says can get lost - just want to make sure I'm reading you correctly).

I am really confused by your statement, please tell us if we are reading this in a wrong way ...(I hope so)

Man was created as an intelligent creature with the desire to explore and understand :)

Dear Dusty,

I asked Jehovah how to answer you without offending you, but at the same time conveying Jehovah's thought on matters.

Today at the meeting we sang song number 34 for the Public Talk - and there was a line that jumped out at me ...

I wonder if you would be able to read this and meditate what they are trying to tell us:

Second verse:

"I do not sit with wicked men of lies, I hate the company of those who truth depise'

So if I may leave you with a question (I'm not looking for an answer) "Would Jehovah use false religion who are actively opposed to him and his truth - to give you a double blessing?

with much respect and love towards you Dusty.

Mandi x

A wee suggestion Dusty - throw a smiley face in if you are making a fun thread. Just so we know you are having us on.

Misunderstandings happen often in texting, emailing and posts.
