We are experiencing extreme winter weather! Our CO was with us this week, but midweek meeting was cancelled because of this storm. One of our elders said that this is the first time this has happened, in his experience. Saturday morning service was cancelled and Sunday meeting may be, also. We have a foot of snow on the ground, but such strong winds that it almost appears to be snowing even when it is not. We are praying that our flight may not occur in this storm! Of course, our flight is not physical, but the ancient flight of the Israelites does come to mind.

But we may need to get to the basement featured in the convention video! Difficult in a storm like this! So, thinking of Jesus's words here, I'm guessing your spring /our autumn. Or visa versus.

Similar experience here at 6300 feet altitude. We had a slip 'n fall in the parking lot Thursday before the meeting.  Sister required hip surgery, pins and such.

By the way: You allude to Matthew 24:20 "Keep praying that your flight may not occur in wintertime" .  The slave describes the 'wintertime of tribulation '.  Not the ideal time to flee.

I thought it could also apply to 'wintertime of our spiritual life'. Or, when we are struggling spiritually.

Just thinking out loud  .  .
