Radiation levels rise as fires burn near Chernobyl

There have been other forest fires in the exclusion zone over the past 30 odd years, but this one is awfully close.  And as the irradiated trees burn, radiation is being released through the smoke, and over it goes again throughout the neighbouring countryside.  Currently, the winds blowing the smoke with radiation particles over Kiev are possibly going to have less impact - due to the Covid-19 lockdown.  One good thing then......
