A sad day for Pizza Makers

One of the largest forums for Pizza Making is found at

 

 

 

There is quite an array of pizza making information on that site. One of the "resident" Pizza Gurus was Tom Lehmann - The Dough Doctor.

 

He was a stalwart on that site as well as a regular contributor to

 

 

He had a full career teaching and researching the art of dough making for nearly 50 years

As the director of bakery assistance at the American Institute of Baking, it was Tom’s job to solve and help the layman understand the mysteries of flour, dough and fermentation. His tenure at the AIB lasted nearly half a century, from 1965 to 2014, during which time he developed new programs, taught numerous classes and seminars and consulted for foodservice clients around the country.

 

 

As far as I know, Tom was NOT a JW.

 

His insights and kind answers will be missed by those who frequent the Pizza Making forum - I have earned quite a lot from his comments and help over the years I have been a member of that forum.

 

The bright side is - he now is sleeping in death and has the prospect of the resurrection ... perhaps he will embrace the Truth in the New System and his knowledge of dough making can once again be shared with others. Who knows, with the passion he was known for when it came to dough making, what type of insights into dough making might he uncover when his time is not limited by the constraints of imperfection this system is saddled with.

 

His passing can serve as a twofold message to all of us:

1. We do not want to take COVID-19 for granted, thinking it is not all that serious - we should follow the direction and admonition of the FDS and follow all the C-19 protocols on a daily basis and not adopt the "I'm tired of this and I want 'normal' again" ... after all, this system is not really "normal"
2. Never do we want to allow this world to distract us from God's Kingdom - the only real solution to the problems we experience now - We must remain neutral to this word's views and trust in Jehovah.
