An update on our letters, all have been rejected by the prison censor , its been getting a little disheartening , but they continued with the thought that someone is reading them.

 

then after 2 more being rejected last Saturday -  on Tuesday evening they received a letter (via Email ) from one of the brothers they had written to , they hadn't given him the letter , these had been rejected , but he had received drawings from my 8 year old granddaughter with words in Russian about the paradise hope.

 

So nice to know our dear brother Kostya got some joy from knowing he is being thought about.

The brothers in Harrogate tell me their letters are getting through.

Can I ask how you know your letters are being rejected?

Are you emailing or using land post?

They are emailing and they receive an email back saying the censor has rejected the letter ! must be doing something wrong are there any suggestions?

Hi Maria

I can only think it might be you mention Jehovah too many times also they don't like our Bible you have to use the Russian orthodox.

A sister from Bethel recently told us that if we write a letter to our brothers and sisters is Russia, we can write it in English, include a short cover letter specifying who it's going to, and mail it to: 

 

Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses

675 Red Mills Road

Wallkill, NY 12589

 

and they will translate it for you and send it on to Russia. 

 

I thought this would be a huge expense for the organization, but the sister said "Well, it's to encourage our brothers so it's worth it.  Also, you can donate to the worldwide work if you'd like for what the postage would be."

 

We're going to do this for our family worship this week.

Glad to report writers in England are receiving lovely replies.
