These are my fellow workers for the Kingdom of God, and they have become a source of great comfort to me.—Col. 4:11.

The apostle Paul faced one life-threatening situation after another. (2 Cor. 11:23-28) He also had to endure “a thorn in the flesh,” possibly some sort of health problem. (2 Cor. 12:7) And he had to cope with disappointment when Demas, his onetime fellow worker, abandoned him “because [Demas] loved the present system of things.” (2 Tim. 4:10) Paul was a courageous spirit-anointed Christian who unselfishly helped others, but at times even he felt discouraged. (Rom. 9:1, 2) Paul received the comfort and support he needed. How? Jehovah certainly used His holy spirit to strengthen him. (2 Cor. 4:7; Phil. 4:13) Jehovah also comforted him through fellow Christians. Paul described some of his fellow workers as “a source of great comfort.” (Col. 4:11) Among the ones he mentioned by name were Aristarchus, Tychicus, and Mark. They strengthened Paul, helping him to endure. w20.01 8 ¶2-3

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

Like Paul, we may have a thorn in the flesh that we battle as we faithfully serve our God Jehovah. What can we do to help one another out as we struggle day by day? As Heb 10:25 says , we need to be encouraging one another, and all the more so as you see the day drawing near. In this way , we work with Jehovah's holy spirit and we are there for one another.

The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovah

In helping others we can help overcome our own weaknesses - Heb 10 is a nice point

Demas was with Paul during his first imprisonment, his greetings were included in the letters to Colossians and Philemon , but it doesn't mention that he was any way Apostate , just that his love for worldly pleasure became stronger than his love for god.

Instead of supporting Paul he left and went back to his home town.

We could see loved brothers who we have relied on loose their love for Jehovah but we would need not to be discouraged ourselves by this but keep going despite the disappointment of losing someone close to us.
