Memorial Experiences

So, my Aunt is part of a small Cong of 32 publishers in Alice Springs. For the Memorial, they had 150.

 

Alice Springs has a large Aboriginal territory, so some of the publishers acted as translators for the talk, and there was apparently a large amount of interest expressed after the program was over.

 

From what I've heard, the local churches haven't been that kind during the lockdown, so the idea of coming to the Memorial, and getting a study free of charge is something new.

 

Anyone else have some good experiences to share?

After 17 yrs of talking to my next door neighbor, she made arrangements with the brothers from the invitation I have her last week.  Ahe came on zoom tonight.  Then to my ultimate surprise, I find out that she is an inactive witness. She never said anything in 17 yrs that she was one of Jehovah's people at one time.   I thanked her for coming and not to stop coming.  You never know if a person has a change of heart.  Do not give up!

After 39 years of being a regular publisher, I never took so many guests to memorial! Invited 17 people

4 said they were going already with other friends JW.

8 attended by zoom or by phone!  From these, 4 asked if they could use the codes to attend the meetings every week!

They were very surprised to see how everyone was so neat and friendly and the way they have congratulated the brother responsible for the talk.

One said: Now I understand the Bible! She was seeking for spiritual guidance everywhere except on the Bible... Now she plans to attend all meetings.

She´s soon a Bible study I hope 😉 

Our congregation never had so many attendants on memorial: 167! We are just 70 publishers at rural/sea area.
