I am the mother to 4 children and with my very last wee boy who is half scottish half Irish (he says “skyrish” ) Hector who is 6 years old.

My older three were in a traditional primary / secondary school situation and are all well adjusted and two are adults now both baptised.
The reason I took the plunge last year is because I couldn’t trust exactly what the school system is teaching him. Over here it’s extremely politely correct, we had wee boy who wanted to be a girl in the class and so they treated him as such and in Scotland the law is clear they do not have to tell the parents. Also we found out they introduced trans men who were women (did I get that right?😩) into the school to lecture to the children WITHOUT our consent. So we decided to give it a go, since we were in a position to be able to. I realise not all can do this 😳, but we figured we could try and if we fail we will humbly accept failure and put him back to school if that occasion arises.

please let me know your experiences and advice.

Christian love, Jo in Scotland

Hello my Sister,

we used a homeschool called Pearblossom Private School, at the time we used it it was owned and operated by witness, as of now I'm not to sure , but you can check into it and see, it was nice because service time was counted as credit, the books you use for essay's could be any of the books ion JW.ORG. both my son and my daughter went to Pearblossom Private School, if you would like any other information please feel free to IM us and my wife and I will be glad to help any way we can.

here is the link for the school:

I hope this will help.

Hi Josephine. I know it's not the place for it here, but welcome to JWTalk!

I am not an expert on home schooling at all, since I have never been in a position to even consider it. However, many others on the forums here know more about it than I do. The subject has been discussed, at least from a North American perspective, at these links:

https://jwtalk.net/topic/23726-the-challenges-and-benefits-of-home-schooling/

https://jwtalk.net/topic/23664-statistics-home-schooling-vs-public-schools/

There are other topics, too, that touch on this subject. Use the search box in the top, right corner, and type in "home education" or "home schooling" (with the quotes).
