Man there is no depths Satan will take to discredit Jesus and his people. Satan does not dare say anything to Jehovah for if he does, he's done.

Jesus Christ ‘Most Likely’ Was Gay Says Anglican Priest

by DAVID BADASH on APRIL 20, 2012

in NEWS,RELIGION

Jesus Christ was most likely gay, an Anglican priest told his flock on Good Friday. Paul Oestreicher, Canon Emeritus of Coventry Cathedral, writes today that the “homosexual option simply seems the most likely,” Oestreicher writes, because the “intimate relationship with the beloved disciple…John whom Jesus, the gospels affirm, loved in a special way…points in that direction.” Oestreicher, also a chaplain at the University of Sussex, acknowledges that it could be a “divisive issue,” especially on Good Friday, but adds that Jesus being gay “in no way affects who he was and what he means for the world today. Spiritually it is immaterial.”

Was that divisive issue a subject for Good Friday? For the first time in my ministry I felt it had to be. Those last words of Jesus would not let me escape. “When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, ‘Woman behold your son!’ Then he said to the disciple. ‘Behold your mother!’ And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.”

That disciple was John whom Jesus, the gospels affirm, loved in a special way. All the other disciples had fled in fear. Three women but only one man had the courage to go with Jesus to his execution. That man clearly had a unique place in the affection of Jesus. In all classic depictions of the Last Supper, a favourite subject of Christian art, John is next to Jesus, very often his head resting on Jesus’s breast. Dying, Jesus asks John to look after his mother and asks his mother to accept John as her son. John takes Mary home. John becomes unmistakably part of Jesus’s family.

Jesus was a Hebrew rabbi. Unusually, he was unmarried. The idea that he had a romantic relationship with Mary Magdalene is the stuff of fiction, based on no biblical evidence. The evidence, on the other hand, that he may have been what we today call gay is very strong. But even gay rights campaigners in the church have been reluctant to suggest it. A significant exception was Hugh Montefiore, bishop of Birmingham and a convert from a prominent Jewish family. He dared to suggest that possibility and was met with disdain, as though he were simply out to shock.

After much reflection and with certainly no wish to shock, I felt I was left with no option but to suggest, for the first time in half a century of my Anglican priesthood, that Jesus may well have been homosexual. Had he been devoid of sexuality, he would not have been truly human. To believe that would be heretical.

Heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual: Jesus could have been any of these. There can be no certainty which. The homosexual option simply seems the most likely. The intimate relationship with the beloved disciple points in that direction. It would be so interpreted in any person today. Although there is no rabbinic tradition of celibacy, Jesus could well have chosen to refrain from sexual activity, whether he was gay or not. Many Christians will wish to assume it, but I see no theological need to. The physical expression of faithful love is godly. To suggest otherwise is to buy into a kind of puritanism that has long tainted the churches.

Advocating for understanding from his Church, Oestreicher notes:

What matters in this context is that there are many gay and lesbian followers of Jesus – ordained and lay – who, despite the church, remarkably and humbly remain its faithful members. Would the Christian churches in their many guises more openly accept, embrace and love them, there would be many more disciples.

Oestreicher, who retired from the Cathedral in 1998 lives in Brighton, England, with his wife and “works as a journalist and expert on human rights, peace, faith and society,” according to his bio at Wikipedia. He has published 30 op-eds at The time.

JEHOVAH have mercy and forgive him, for he is a MORON. I just flabbergasted!!

:lol1: Yup.

It reminds one of this scripture:

15 All things are clean to clean persons. But to persons defiled and faithless nothing is clean, but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. 16 They publicly declare they know God, but they disown him by their works, because they are detestable and disobedient and not approved for good work of any sort.

These are the scriptural reasons why Jesus could not have been a homosexual:

1) Jesus, when he was on earth, was a Jew under the Mosaic Law. Part of that Law that he was obligated to keep Leviticus 18:22,24-27:

22 “‘And you must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing. ...

24 “‘Do not make yourselves unclean by any of these things, because by all these things the nations whom I am sending out from before YOU have made themselves unclean. 25 Consequently the land is unclean, and I shall bring punishment for its error upon it, and the land will vomit its inhabitants out. 26 And YOU yourselves must keep my statutes and my judicial decisions, and YOU must not do any of all these detestable things, whether a native or an alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst. 27 For all these detestable things the men of the land who were before YOU have done, so that the land is unclean. 28 Then the land will not vomit YOU out for YOUR defiling it the same way as it will certainly vomit the nations out who were before YOU. 29 In case anyone does any of all these detestable things, then the souls doing them must be cut off from among their people. 30 And YOU must keep YOUR obligation to me not to carry on any of the detestable customs that have been carried on before YOU, that YOU may not make yourselves unclean by them. I am Jehovah YOUR God.’”

2) Jesus repeatedly displayed an attitude toward Jehovah's will and directions that was one of obedience, as he said at John 8:29:

"And he that sent me is with me; he did not abandon me to myself, because I always do the things pleasing to him.”

3) He also said in Luke 24:44 :

"He now said to them: “These are my words which I spoke to YOU while I was yet with YOU, that all the things written in the law of Moses and in the Prophets and Psalms about me must be fulfilled.” "

He was determined even to the suffering of the pain of his own death, to do all of the things that were written beforetime that the Christ was supposed to do, including this prophecy which shows that he would be a righteous servant of Jehovah:

Isaiah 53: 9, 11

....he had done no violence and there was no deception in his mouth. .....By means of his knowledge the righteous one, my servant, will bring a righteous standing to many people; and their errors he himself will bear.

4) Homosexuality is a form of fornication, and JESUS said this about fornication, at Mark 7:20-23:

20 Further, he said: “That which issues forth out of a man is what defiles a man; 21 for from inside, out of the heart of men, injurious reasonings issue forth: fornications, thieveries, murders, 22 adulteries, covetings, acts of wickedness, deceit, loose conduct, an envious eye, blasphemy, haughtiness, unreasonableness. 23 All these wicked things issue forth from within and defile a man.”

I could go on, but the main point is that unless a minister presents Jesus as he is, he really shouldn't be making these assertions about him.

This article from the Anglican priest shows the man’s ignorance of the Bible. In particular, his ignorance of the Greek words for Love. The Greek word e’ros denotes love between the sexes or in this case love between persons of the same sex. Jesus did not use the word e’ros, nor did any of the writers of the Christian Greek Scriptures. From that Greek word e’ros we get the word erotic. The Christian Greek Scriptures mainly employ forms of the words a•ga′pe, phi•li′a, and two words drawn from stor•ge′. Aga’pe is love guided, or governed, by principle and it appears more frequently than the other terms. Phili’a is brotherly love from which we get Philadelphia. It also is used to express fondness and affection for another. Stor•ge′ was the Greek word often used to refer to the natural affection that exists between members of the same family. Jesus had tender affection for all his apostles but to say he had e'ros, erotic thoughts toward them, is as David said moronic and possibly from a person with mild mental retardation.

We cannot incite if we are not in sight.___Heb.10:24,25

Great point!! A priest who apparently went through a training period to be a priest should know this, because they usually have some teaching in the biblical languages. The word used by the Christian writers when quoting Jesus was AGAPE, which did not relate to erotic feelings.

*** w90 11/15 p. 11 par. 3 “The Greatest of These Is Love” ***

Writers of the Christian Greek Scriptures had no occasion to use e′ros, though the Septuagint uses forms of it at Proverbs 7:18 and 30:16.

My belief is the premise of the article is this conformist religious leader is trying to adapt to the adjusting atmosphere of this system of thing, mainly homosexuality and same gender marriages. Despite his theological and biblical teachings, their father, who is Satan ofuscated the line between true worship and false. This was notable in the 3rd and 4th century religious reform of Emperor Constantine who amalgamated paganism and Christianity. We as non-conformist will not adulterate our pure worship with ideals than run smack right into what Jehovah condemns. It's an honor that Jehovah's spirit enlightens us and keeps us clean from the Harlot and her influence.
