Our Son in a neighbouring Cong has a single sister who has been relocated through the refugee system. Mother and brother still in the Ukraine. The Cong is very supportive, however leaving family and friends in a bad situation is not an easy adjustment.

That's for sure. There is a single sister in my former congregation from Ukraine (living in Canada a few years already), worried about her mother and brother who are stuck back there. Her brother can't leave the country; he's that age when the government thinks he'd be useful fighting. And her mother doesn't want to leave the country without her son. Meanwhile, the sister's father works outside of the country, and just decided not to come home when the war started. He's safe, but also worries about his wife and son. It's definitely not an easy adjustment.

Oh, and I also applied for CUAET😊
