Do you click on online ads?

Recommended Posts

I was watching a news late night and all the US news are all talking about facebook's IPO tomorrow. Facebook is said to be monetizing its users by ads. Then this morning, this came up: http://venturebeat.com/2012/05/17/44-perecent-facebook-never-click-display-ads/

Then I realized myself, when I was on facebook, I never click an ad. Why? Because I am only there to chat with real friends nothing else. And lately I installed adblock, thus ads shown are minimal.

How about you, do you click those ads presented to you whether its on your email, social network or search page?

Modesty is not something we can simply define in a way that suits us.

Sometimes I click. I found out about the upcoming Les Miserables movie by clicking on an ad that took me to the appropriate page. Last year, I found out that one of my favorite bands from my youth had gotten back together for a reunion tour and were going to be in Philidelphia, PA about 7 hours from me. I clicked through to learn more, bought tickets, and went and had a great time.

I don't click on very many, but they do manage to successfully target me once in a while.

Several years ago when I had very financial constraints, I tried to be an "affiliant" for various "click to pay" through google.

ads. As many of you know, many were spams and I ended up spending money to get to be "affiliant" and I never got anything in return. It was google, after sometime I found that there was good money accumulated in my account, but suddenly for some reason they only know, google suspended my ads. I ended up  but then Jehovah took me with both His hands and placed comfortably into a good office where I got good job and many of my financial constraints are gone. I cannot forget those days, where how our loving Father took care of me. So now I know where "not to click " :D

When I was new to web world it was a temptation I had been warned about but there were a few snaffoos. I don't like those jiggling "You just won an I pad" ones that tell me 5 times a day that I just happen to be the 1,000,000th visitor.

:uhhuh:

that is the reason for my web signature
