Nationalism getting stronger in Korea

Recommended Posts

Against Japan and China..

Some people show strong discontent and even loathing towards other Korean people who go to Japan on a trip.

Is it the same where you live?

I’m thankful we belong to the kingdom and no matter where we go as JWs, we are welcome in their country, by the way.

I haven’t noticed nationalism per se but definitely stronger feelings in the divide of groups politically. Also in social issues. At this point it’s a powder keg waiting for a spark.

Jer 29:11-“For I well know the thoughts I am thinking toward you, declares Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not calamity, to give you a future and a hope.”

Psalm 56:3-“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
Romans 8:38-”For I am convinced...”

I have made it a goal to constantly tell myself that I am no part of this nationalistic competition that is so prevalent today and causing division among people.

Here in Nigeria, it is Christendom and Islam competing for who to rule the country.

It is so distressing seeing all of this.
