I have always wanted to wear a bow tie, but they seam to go out of fashion, but i have always thought they looked cool.

But would wearing one, draw attention? I like to stay smart and modest in my dress, But my tie selection is pretty poor.

I have a blue tie, a yellow one, and a Bugs bunny and daffy duck one.

So is there a tie that would look good, but not be too showy?

I think they're pretty cool....saw several at the convention this past weekend but other than that, it appears that bow ties seem to be favored by a lot of our meteorologists on TV... I say 'go for it, Ron!'

I intend to live forever...so far so good. :D

Bow ties are in style right now. It's the trendy thing to wear in men's fashion.

That and tight fitted suits..

But i don't think every guy can pull off the look, for example Bow ties don't look

great on heavy set men..

it helps if you look like this.

Grumpy would never even consider a bow tie. He is stuck in the 50's with his skinny ties. When he finds a tie he likes, he asks me to alter it to a skinny tie. No wider than 2 1/2 inches.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Personally, I am not in to bow ties, don't care for them. I have seen brothers though my entire life where them. Not tons, but I do see them.

Nothing wrong with them, just another style preference.

Ive had a few good ideas about them, and i am going to visit my local tailor shop, to have a look. I am going to look totally awesome on the platform on Thursday nights doing the announcements with my Shorts, bow tie, and knotted handkerchief on my head. Perhaps ill start a new fashion trend? But The Dr. Who bow tie is making the bow tie a cool thing.

So I guess that means you won't be wearing one, huh Ava? Are you going to stick with regular ties? :lol1:

I think bow ties look nice. In our area we have 2 brothers who wear them regularly. Seems like if a brother wanted to wear a bow tie it would be similar to a sister changing her hair color in that it's personal preference.
