I'm expecting it next week. There will be a new application. I can't say anything about it because I don't know the details. But there was a reference in the new translation file.

I am translating it also but I did not notice any new application other than it will support CLM Explorer-files.

Something that I am missing is the possibility to add songs via NWP and other minor details to the public talks.
Now I need to wait until I get home and start my main computer to make small changes.

I am wondering what the "No" bullet means located below the Field Service Group listing? I'm sure it's in the help file, but haven't found it. Thanks

If you mark someone by mistake as the group overseer or assistant, or if the group overseer or assistant changes, that "no" serves to unmark the previous brother. Selecting a new overseer doesn't unmark the previous one.

So I’ve moved into a new congregation and they’re still getting to grips with NWPublisher.

The Secretary and Service Overseer are both in their 70s and are not great with technology on the best of days… but yesterday was something else!

I was leaving the ministry group and then received a load of notifications through the app saying I had assignments… when I looked I’d been given the CBS, a LAC item and then the best one…IMG_0824.thumb.jpeg.6c968e7982931b1b606762279f708b41.jpeg

They gave me-a sister-chairman! And they had no idea how it happened either! 😂😂

I said to them both I’d would be a new experience but I’ll give it a go… several panicked messages went on between the elders and it’s now been resolved but for about an hour I was the 1st sister to be given Elder assignments at the midweek meeting 😂

Well, there is always a first!..... Sounds like either your previous cong has exported an incorrect profile or, if they didn't use Scheduler, your new cong made a dog's breakfast out of the Assign tab options on your profile. Better make sure they have reset it or you might get assigned to give a Public Talk  🤨

Congrats. So that's what the next update will be about.

It was definitely my new Congs error 😂

Here is our standard setup with 6 buttons:

  1. At Home = had conversation with someone, no need to work this address again
  2. Not Home (1st) = try again another day
  3. Not Home (2nd) = Not home 2nd time: this address will now be included in the letter-writing territory
  4. Do Not Call = Specifically requested by Householder: do not call, write, or telephone
  5. No Tress, Priv Prop = 'No Trespassing' or 'Private Property' sign somewhere on property
  6. Vacant = no need to call or write (our territory has high number of vacant properties)

NOTES:

  1. The selected address is marked as yellow on map
  2. After territory is worked in person and returned, the 'Letter-Writing' function is activated. All addresses marked "Not Home" or "No Tress, Priv Prop" will be included on the list. These territories are available to all the friends to work at any time - they simply select an address, mark it "Letter Sent" and send their letter, then repeat.

We have almost the same but why did you use a 2nd button for Not Home? When I press the Not Home button I get a choice to tick 1st or 2nd. When ticked 1st it becomes orange, when ticked 2nd it become grey and  now is part of the phone/letter writing territory.

Button 6 we use to reserve houses for "Infirm"

No effort = No bananas
More efforts = More bananas

How do I fix this?

No specific answer to your problem. But in general, maybe these thoughts:

  1. Wait a while and open NWS again - just in case your server was having a bad day.
  2. Ask another elder with access to public talk schedules to open his NWS app - see if same result.
  3. If it persists after a day or 2, try a restore operation (just the talks) from 1-2 days ago

We didn't. This is just the standard operation when you set the "Not-Home" count to 2. The pictured address has already been visited once.

I misunderstood what you wrote our setup is identical except we enabled 6 buttons while you enabled 5 buttons. The 6th button is labeled "Infirm" to reserve an address that is suitable for the elderly and infirm to approach. Sometimes it is like driving territory or a flat approach to the door. We mark those either before or during the ministry. This way the elderly and infirm are also enjoying the ministry especially during campaigns.

That's a great idea! If only we had another button! Right now I cannot do that because we need the last button to use with telephone territory for when a number is Disconnected or Not In Service

I see this often with my setup & I get why. I will log into NWS at times from 3 separate computers.. for different reasons. When all PSS (public speaker sharing) requests are green on one system & a request was just recently updated from that system, it may not show that way on my other two systems. They'll show but will more than likely be highlighted in orange. They'll need to be updated from that system as well in the same same it was updated from the original computer.

This will also occur if you only use one system to log into NWS, but.. other sharing brothers in your congregation have access to the talk coordinator role. I've noticed where all requests are updated (green) in all 3 of my systems & then one day, the most recent updated ones will be orange again (or white). Then I find out another brother who has access to edit, opened that area & caused a data mis-sync due to different reasons (usually they hadn't opened NWS in a while & were on a previous program version, etc).

Not sure if there's a fix other than just reminding all the brothers in your congregation to make sure they keep their programs updated & limit access to specific roles & not allow everyone to access everything to edit.
