I'd also ask for the option for the territory servant to be able to assign territories from the app. I don't know how they gave this option: 1) to elders (and it's fine), 2) to servants, 3) to pioneers, and 4) to all brothers. But they never thought it would be more appropriate to give the territory servant this option. Hugs.

The territory assignment works via NWS Mobile. However, it is still in beta. The territory servant can assign territories on the go using the app.

In our congregation we have also defined in the NWS Desktop certain territories for JW Publisher as “self‑assign territories,” which the elders and ministerial servants—and, when needed, pioneers in the congregation—can take for themselves, for a group, for their family, or for the entire congregation. However, this quickly becomes hard to keep track of. That is why we are looking forward to the NWS Mobile version once it exits the beta stage.

We have a weekly cleaning schedule. In the app It shows which group cleans during the midweek meeting but it shows none for the weekend meeting, which should be the same group that cleans midweek.

Has anyone found a workaround for this bug? I did some tweaking and sent app data.  I changed the schedule option dropdown from Weekly to Meeting. Then I entered a group for weekly cleaning and the same one for after meeting cleaning. We have scheduled for a few months but only three weeks show up in 4.0.8 NWP app and those are still incorrect.  I tried to refresh app data. None of these things have worked.  All of our brothers are on the latest NWS version.

I don't get the self assigning or the this territory is for this group or family. Our 6 FSGOs and their assistants as well as all the pioneers plus those supporting midweek meetings for Field Service have an understanding and the permission to work in any territory which has blue and orange colored addresses.

After all this has a live update of what is being worked. We do campaign and select territories that have not been previously worked during a campaign plus have not been worked recently. The KEY to this is a reliable, dependable and available territory servant who is having his fingers on the pulse of all the territories. Monitoring what FSG needs nearby territory then approaches the FSGO and asks if he needs new territory. He monitors the progress of the territories and if he can determine this one will be overdue, approaches the SO with his findings and a special weekend ministry day by the congregation is arranged to complete overdue territories.

This territory module is the most valuable in my opinion as it helps working the territories more thorough, efficient and the results are happy publishers and as they change the status of an address they feel good because they are living up to their dedication vow.

September 2026 is missing from the Life and Ministry meeting schedule.  August and October is there, no September.

Adding a screenshot to your comment. It goes from August to October skipping September.

We use the Self-Assign quite a bit, not the family and rarely the group assignment.
Granted the FSGOs do not manage territory for their groups in our congregation, publishers ask the territory servant directly for territories so the self-assign comes in handy if someone wants a territory right away, though usually the requests for new territories get answered within an hour, often sooner if it's right around service group time.

Does the away period work for you? i am guessing it works for me too in a way but when going to congregation calendar in NWS it shows different dates for me compared to my wife. So I set myself on away from 27th june to 19th of july and i choosed that for the whole family. In the calendar now I am away 27th to 30th june. But my wife is not visible as away on those dates. From 1st to 9th of july none of us are shown on the calendar. Then Suddenly I am away from 10th to 12th july and then we both are away from 13th of july to 19th of july.
Really strange. We have identical away periods.

Maybe this is not a big deal, I get a warning when trying to give a me a task during our away period even when the congregation calendar is not showing me as away. But still annoying, I am often using that calendar to plan various tasks. And yes, I plan many congregation stuff still on Excel... When done then I add it to NWS.

We have experienced the same thing.  Most of the congregation has had to submit their time in NWP twice, for it to actually come through to NWS.  I'm hoping this is just another one-time side effect from the update(s).  Time will tell.

We had an inactive publisher who has started going in service again. I marked this sister as active and she sent her report for April. Yet the program is warning me her reports for the previous five months are missing. How should I set this up so that it stop showing those warnings? I can't see a "date of reactivation" anywhere.
