Pledge to the Christian Flag?

I had never heard of this. I guess one reason is I don't go to other churches. I was not aware of such a pledge. From flagwix.com I quote:

I don't pledge allegiance to any flag. We bow to Jehovah and Jesus only

I thought baptism and acknowledging Jesus as the only acceptable way to approach Jehovah not by "the Christian flags as a door that opens a path to God and the pledge as a key." To me understanding why people do thing is important. This began back in school understanding the flag salute and why we don't say it. I try to educate myself so I can answer questions or not be caught off guard.

I just thought it was interesting, as I was not aware that there was a Christian pledge to a flag. There's no "real point" other than knowledge.

I used this when I was a camp counselor to in High School. Though I did not salute the flag, I explained to the teacher I respected the flag and that included how it was raised, lowered and folded and that it was only to be displayed during the day, unless at night it was to be illuminated. Just as a patriotic event may catch us off guard, so might a religious event. Could be as a simple thing that our MWM asks this question "What would you do if you were asked to contribute to a religious charity?".  Our park is used for Sunday services, imagine walking by and being asked to pledge your allegiance if asked to such a flag!

I went to a lot of churches as a teenager.  It seems like someone was always asking me to attend with them.  I was aware of Jehovah's Witnesses and believed what little I knew about the Witnesses.  I never saw anything like this in the ones I went to.  I wasn't really interested in any of those religions.  I never heard nor saw any pledge like that.

 

I can't use the word "Christian" when speaking of those churches.  I would more likely refer to them as 'so-called Christians' or 'false Christians.'
