It is cloudy here.  So I will not be able to use my eclipse viewing glasses.

Do not ever look at an eclipse without the proper eye protection.

Hope you have clear skies where you are.:D

It was overcast in my area and I am way over on the East Coast so I didn't see much.

My sister lives in Texas very close to the path of the total solar eclipse for next year.  My age and health prevent me from much traveling anymore.  Oh well, there will be plenty of eclipses of all types in the new system.

I got to see a total eclipse when I lived in Alabama about 40 years ago.  I had some plates used in welding helmets that I used to view the eclipse.  I also set up a coathanger with aluminum foil and a pinhole in it and a mirror to reflect into my daughter's bedroom.  It worked fairly well.  I also saw a total eclipse when I lived in Georgia less than a decade ago.

I live in North Texas and after the meeting yesterday the friends were outside the hall looking at the eclipse with those special glasses. I borrowed a pair and looked myself. It was cool 😎

The Hebrew word cushi or kushi is an affectionate term generally used in the Bible to refer to a dark-skinned person of African descent.

I watched the solar eclipse when I lived in Georgia with those special glasses.  I had several pairs that I had planned to keep and did keep for a while.  I am not sure what happened to them when I moved to North Carolina.

My youngest son and his wife actually traveled along the path of the eclipse. They were somewhere in Kentucky, I think (actually don't remember where they got to see totality), but there was a large group and they were told at that precise moment that it was safe to take off the glasses and look around.  They said it was awesome.   They plan to do it again next year.
