Brits say "chips"Yanks say "Fries"

And USA=chips is Brits=crisps

I remember our English teacher asking us to spot the error in the musical movie:"My Fair Lady". Actor Rex Harrison is supposed to be 'the Professor' teaching the London Cockney (their local accent/dialect) girl played by Audrey Hepburn correct English pronunciation and he goes on to sing:"I've gotten used to the way she says Good Morning every day....."

OOps! Brits haven't used gotten since the 17th/early 18th century, whereas the USA continued to use the term since folk came from the 'Old Country' in those centuries and never dropped it.
