Back Slang

Have you ever wanted to pass some information onto someone else in the room whilst 'hiding' it from young ears? Children are very quick to pick up information, and equally fast to pass it on. There may be many methods that forum users are aware of but a number of people of people I know of here in the UK use a system called Back-Slang (spoken), and another is Spanish-Style (written). Let me show you both of them:

Back-Slang - avhay ooyay eenbay ootay eethey eetingmay etyay? Ancay ooyay eadray isthey?

Spanish-Style - Si Senor derdezgo forte lorez inaro, demarnte lorez demar trux fulla cowsan ensan dux.

Simple really - an explanation perhaps?

I think that is called "Pig Latin" here in the US

In the UK...well at least where I grew up, we used to speak "ob"

Basically you put 'ob' in front of every phonetically sounding vowel.

So, "Hi, how are you?"

Is: Hob-i hob-ow ob-are yobou?

We all got to speak it really fast and we could all understand each other really well, but nobody could understand us.
