Personally I would love see more single brothers and sisters interact with each other. Not to seek a mate but to be completely comfortable around the opposite gender. Too often when a single person receives compliment from the opposite gender it’s taken as the person must be interested when actually they’re just being nice. Might be nice to as a group to start a conversation about study article 21 & 22 😊

Surely we need all of the brothers and sisters to interact freely, regardless of age, and circumstance. It is best to keep in mind the overriding purpose of this forum, In harmony with John 13:34,35.

 

None of the threads on this forum are exclusive, they are all inclusive and serve to benefit everyone.

I'm a s Single sister searching (SSS). 

 

• Have to love Jah more than himself and anyone else
• Have to keep up with me or do more spiritually,  i don't like to be stagnant spiritually.
• We have to want somewhat similar goals
• He has to want to be a proper head. Never liked the idea of seeing married sisters forced into "spiritual" singleness because their husbands won't do the regular basics (family worship, field service, meetings)

I have definitely been there! My ex-husband was very zealous in the ministry very helpful around the congregation, but would not study with his family, nor pray with us. I hated it. And when I would try to study with the kids, he would accuse me of trying to undermine his headship. An elder had to take me aside and told me privately to continue to study with our kids, but I didn’t like that he did it privately he should’ve said it in front of my ex-husband .

I really enjoyed the watchtower today on finding a marriage mate. Although I really enjoy being single, I would like to marry. It's just hard to find a compatible brother where I'm from. I hope our single friends can find solace and hope in today's watchtower article.

My take on being single...

 

Sad to say it but I'll never want to be in a relationship again.    Before I came into the truth I was married to a really abusive man.   Any type of abuse you can think of.. he did.  

 

I find myself not being able to trust a man now.  

 

If I make it into the new system alive,  than maybe I'll consider marriage but for now?  It's totally off the table.

I’m thrilled to be able to wake up one day and find myself living in NW, single…

Endless potential and possibilities when it comes to a mate. 

 

It’s so much better than marrying now that if you ask anyone if they’ll marry if GT happens 3-5 years later for sure,

most people will postpone marrying.

Spiritual ( both of us ) I would be willing to give up my possessions  (don't have much ) to  obtain that pearle of high quality , that little flower that shows its beauty in the sunlight , she would show her inner beauty ( her giggle , smile , laughter , her making great mudd pies ??? ) Jehovah made her special - no modifications , no tattoos, no multiple pierces, no multi color hair - I want mine OEM - original equipment specifications - would that be possible ?????

Add on - that look in both eyes that can not separate each other every day in their life in this system and eternity in the new world  (and we will not forget Oscar the goldfish and Quackie the quackless duckie   hehe

Sister Daydream , I heard of your author on your profile ,Og Mandino , not sure it was in sales - Dale Carnegie , Zig Zigeglar (  how to win friends and influence people. -  secrets of closing the sale ) I guess it was saying you got one shot in your life - make the best in making people feel good while you are alive .
