Kobo and epub files

Hello everyone,

I have a kobo ereader.

I wanted to add my publications and bible on it.

So I uploaded the epub directly. the thing is, my lobo froze when I open any publication from jw.org

 

I tried to use calibre to check the epub, there is many error in it, but I did convert it to kepub,

anyone else have this issue?

I don't have a Kobo reader but it is one of the output profiles on Calibre.  You might try inputing the jwpub file using the default input and then select the Kobo Reader output and see if that will help.

Calibre don't handle jwpub format as I know.

I used Kobo Touch Extended and it works.

But I have the feeling that there is something strange with the epub from JW.

I tried also to convert the Bible from epub to mobi for kindle and it always stuck at 47% ...

If anyone knows how to convert, I will be happy.

The upub bible converts well in calibre. I use the azw3 format which is the newer kindle format. If you want to open it in kobo you don't need any conversion, just download the epub version of any book and open directly in kobo

If you want to use jwpub that you need an ereader with android. I have the onyx go color 7 and the jwlibrary app works great there. It is excellent to use the bible in the ministry with a strong sunshine as its perfectly readable on an e ink device

In fact I have 2 issues:

- Kobo: Epub bugs on Kobo (i need to convert to kepub) . I tried watchtower and Bible. both have issue.

 

- Kindle: I can't convert from epub to mobi. Calibre stuck at 47% . Same with awz3 .

I restarted in developper mode to get some logs:
