Well, about a year later.....😀

Yes, I moved here in January 2025. The difference in living here is phenomenal, an absolute 180. 

I've recently introduced myself to muscadine, a type of a grape, lovely when very ripe. Just went to a farmers market and saw a big 'ol basket of okra, (ick!), and found some Amish butter, looking forward to tasting that. Also, it has been a long time craving of mine for Georgia peaches but a sister here said that the South Carolina peach is soooo much better and she was right! they're freestone so very easy to peel and eat, nummy!

 

The weather is also completely different and the thunder storms are impressive, lots of them!

 

The congregation have enveloped me into they're midst, lovely congregation. And BIG!, I'm not used to such a big cong. And there's 3 in this one hall. Whole new experience. If you can't make it to one meeting there's 2 others you can get to!

So all in all this has been a rich blessing from Jehovah.

@CHecker we did a road trip in Tennessee in 2019 after attending the International convention in Phoenix Az.  I think we drove through Knoxville.  We visited Great SmokyMountains National Park also stopped and looked at a few things at Chattanooga.  We absolutely loved our tour.

I drove on that..... Interstate ( I get called out for calling it a freeway!😄) To go to my chiropractor. I'm so glad you liked it here.

There's so much history I need to study.

The people here are lovely, the desk manager at the chiropractor calls me 'baby'! We agree she's a 'sister from another mister'😄If you folks ever make it back look me up, I'd love to do some exploring together. My next place to visit is Augusta quarry. It was so popular with swimmers sneaking in they developed it with all kinds of buildings. It's only 23 minutes from me.

Oh wow! My son is a truck driver, goes to Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky, etc. An hour is almost nothing.

LOL.  We are thinking of applying for Calgary Canada international next year.  If successful we plan on flying from Calgary to NY and doing a road trip of NY state, Connecticut and Massachusetts.  We love road trips and like to do different locations each time.  We like to get off the highways and drive through little towns.  We did that when we drove from Memphis to Nashville return in 2019.  We have done a few Australian road trips and enjoy them all.

In 1999 (could it be THAT long ago??) I went on a tour in Brooklyn then drove around Boston and down to DC where my Aunt lived. Beautiful in October.
