Subtitles Missing on iOS devices

When playing videos from JW Library using IOS devices recently, I find subtitles are missing. I tried on iPhone, iPad, iPad Pro and iPad mini. No longer display subtitles. Does anyone notice this? Wondering how to solve this problem.

I don’t mean this in a mean way but did you try turning them on? If so, please list the steps you did.

Yes, I turn on the ”Subtitles” function on JW Library (setup icon on screen when playing videos). Still no subtitles. Has been like for some months already. I thought I need to update the app. But it is already the latest version. I asked around those using iOS devices like iPad. They too face the same problem. No more subtitles.

Yes, the gear icon.

iPad Air: 18.0.1

Iphone 11: 17.6.1

Just updated 

iPad Air (5th gen): iPadOS 18.1

IPhone 11: iOS 18.1

 

Still unable to display subtitles on JW Library. Of course, no problem when playing the same video on jw.org. Subtitles are displayed on jw.org.

I don’t have any problem playing with subtitles on my iPhone

Neither do I. iPad OS 18.1 and iOS 18.1. I do notice though that there are still many videos that contain no subtitles. Perhaps in a different video they will work?
