I enjoy listening to the music analysis that Fil of the band Wings of Pegasus does. He takes a video and breaks it down. I thought it was interesting at the almost 6 minute part where he states "would you assume that this was live and it's just three people in a kitchen and it's unedited cuz that's the level we're getting to now even this isn't what it is it's crazy I mean I don't get this !" I was talking with my cousin about the use of AI and how what we see, read and listen to is being affected. I know this is not AI but what we are hearing is heavily edited and we are made to believe what we are seeing. I will be honest some of the things Fil talks about are interesting even though I don't understand some of the jargon he uses.

This is incredible to know, how these youtubers are using editing to make their harmonies sound pitch perfect. He uses the Bee Gees as a comparison when 3 brothers harmonize so perfectly when singing live on TV shows. Makes me appreciate just how good the Bee Gees are.

BEE GEES - in PERFECT harmony: Massachussetts - LIVE 1973 - acoustic acapella - simply incredible!

Daydream -

Scientists have discovered that daydreaming is an important tool for creativity. It causes a rush of activity in a circuit, which connects different parts of the brain and allows the mind to make new associations.

I haven't watched the video. I might later.
My view on generative AI that's developed as I've watched it grow to be more advanced over the years is that is that it will likely generate greater appreciation for human generated content.
When it comes to technology, people very easily become nostalgic for the past and want to revert to a time when technological advancements were more tangible and analog and less digital and abstract. For instance, in the age of digital downloads, vinyl's have had a resurge in popularity. There are still a few record shops near where I live, and I've seen a few 2010's films that featured people shopping for or listening to vinyl. I think a lot of young people enjoy that unique sound that you don't get from digital downloads and it feels more real and authentic.
I think this will soon happen for human generated content. AI generated content will always feel soulless, because AI's will never have the capability to feel. You don't have the experience of Johnny Cash singing "hurt" with that subtle voice crack, and the reverberations of genuine emotion and the effects of aging on a human voice. These elements don't detract from the charm of performances like they, but are reasons behind it. Sure and AI can emulate them, but the emulations are meaningless skeuomorphs that are nothing more than reflections of human vulnerability. Generative AI can never become anything more than a pale imitation of the human experience. Therefore, people will prefer authentic humanity rather than the imitation.
