Help Create Poetry One Sentence At A Time

Let's create silly poetry. See how long we can keep it going. One sentence per comment. Once a subject gets too long and runs out of ideas someone else can start another subject.  Have fun. I will start us off.  There's never a dull moment with my silly friend.

We need to build him a crown made of noodles and glue!

But the rain didn't fall so with his pineapples he sang in the shower

Then slipped on a sponge and tap-danced with flour!

But Gene Kelly's shadow was long dead.

So he waltzed with a mop and a bucket instead.

Mister Bojangles, is it you ?

No it's Charlie with just one shoe

"I'm off to the beach", he said, "to make friends with a whale."

But he brought only cheese and a polka-dot pail!

Poor Charlie went first, and he bought an ice cream

With it to the water he went, and saw a faint gleam

The firefly cried out, “Help, I can’t swim.”

So Charlie dove in with his cone on a whim! 🍦💦

A cone on a whim was indeed a sight

As it floated past crabs in a beam of moonlight. 🌙🦀🍦

Then the firefly rested on the cone, held high like a torch.

He said, "Oh My! I thought this was the light on the front porch"
