Are there any solar sales and/or installers here?

Like solar panels? If so, im not what you're looking for but I wish to gice advice just in case. A lot of people (including my husband and I) assume that when you get solar panels, the energy you get can go to the electric bill. That's not always the case, sometimes it goes to the company that installed the panels until you pay off the panels, so then you're now paying the solar panel company for x amount of years AND the power company. You probably already know that but just in case.

I do solar sales in Massachusetts, been at it for nearly a decade

 

Never heard of that system, I'll read up on it

 

Solar is simple, overall

 

1. You currently pay the local utility for electricity at "x" rate (around here it's abt 32¢/kWh

 

2. You install solar at w/e "x" cost 

 

3. Let's say your house uses 10,000 kWh per year

 

4. Assume your solar install produces, say, 8,000 kWh per year 

 

5. Rather than paying the local utility $3,200 per year for electric services, you only pay $640 per year, since your solar covers 80% of your need

 

6. Once you factor inflation/utility cost increases over time, solar becomes a strong investment
