A sister in our group whose sister is in France said congregations  has had a letter sent to them from branch on Oct 6 saying that two regions are wanting to revoke the tax exempt status of JWs...I have the text sent to me on whats ap but do not know how to transfer it on here - perhaps someone else could???

Let's say it's true, but it's more serious than that.

 

A senior official wants to confiscate the religious benefits we enjoy. It's a tax issue, of course, but not only. Why ? I quote: "The Prefect is mainly opposed to our choice, based on the Bible, to spend as little time as possible with people who have been expelled from the assembly or who have voluntarily withdrawn."

More serious : He also accuses us of disturbing public order, which is another way of criminalizing us. We are therefore encouraged to send this Prefect a sworn statement, starting next week, if I don't make a mistake.
