King James Bible will not update

This is an ongoing issue I have.

JW Library, selecting Bible languages I see as below:

Click on update graphic, it starts very briefly then stops.

 

On two Android devices - no problem.

Issue occurs on:

• Desktop Windows 11 Pro  25H2 Build 26200.8524 JW Library 15.8.59.0
• Laptop HP Windows 11 Pro 25H2 Build 26200.8328 JW Library 15.8.59.0

Any suggestions greatly appreciated..

Delete and reinstall the kjv version?

In addition, I have noticed that sometimes the update takes place but the "update icon" does not go away.  So I update, close the app, reboot the device, open the app and check the update.  Usually it is clear.

The update appears to start and the little line moves a few millimeters then abruptly stops.

Set preferred Bible to Study Bible and checked the list again, this time I get the option to delete the KJV, but no change.

No other publication does this..

Defies all logic!

I tried John's suggestion several times including powering off the desktop completely.

The strange behavior persists.

Interestingly, following John's advice then I did this in sequence:

• Power down the PC
• Open JW Library
• checked a few scriptures in Study Bible.
• Clicked on Bible languages
• scrolled down to KJV (still showing update required - as per previous)
• Selected KJV
• Opened the Bible (KJV)

Message appeared, "update available" and a download button appeared to the right, bit disappeared after a few minutes.

Cant get it to repeat this so will post and try again after power down etc.
