Roses:clover:

Recommended Posts

Roses are such a beautiful plant. I am wanting to grow some.. I was thinking in pots in case we have to move. What is the best way to keep them looking good please.?

I have tried growing herbs as well and am getting back into it as well. So thanks for any advice. I am usually a plant terminator. Lol. So would like to change that,

Do they sell knockout roses there ,that's what I have and they are very easy to care for. They bloom several times a year and I have red, there is also pink and yellow. You can grow them in a container.

I checked you do have them, they are rose bushes, with very fragrant flowers.Disease resistant.

I have about 200 rose bushes in the yard but I have never been successful growing them in pots. You can have all you want if you come and get them. :)

Roses need 2 inches of water a week in the growing season. Lots of fungi spray every other week and grandular fertilizer once a month from spring till 1 1/2 months before fall season. The more you prune the more roses you get. Planting time is usually 2 months before the onset of spring for bare root and anytime for potted bushes. Try not to buy the ones with wax on them but rather from a reliable nursery. Miniture roses will do better in pots than hybrid-tea or florabunda's that need a lot a room for there root system to do good. In a pot a rose will need to be watered every day in warm weather with a mixture of 20/20 liquid fertilizer.
