Recommended Posts

My Nanna use to get these lamingtons and I have wanted to make them,

I found a recipe from an old style cook book.

So My daughter ask me to make something for school so I did.

You make up a cake batter first.

so one egg

1 & a half cups self flour.

1/3 sugar

a good heep of cocoa powder

some vanilla essence

1/2 a slab butter

& 1 cup or so of water

mix this all together, and then put into the individual muffin tin

bake 160/180 til they are cooked no goo comes out when you put a knife to test the batter,

then put these on a rack to cool. and then you make up some jelly and get some coconut and put that separate in a bowl.

so you dip your bite sized cakes into the jelly and then into the coconut and then continue and so on. Put them in a fancy casing.

They are the ones with chocolate and coconut over them Enjoy:chef:

"It's a known fact that eighty decibels of rushing water is one of the most pleasing sounds known to mankind. On other hand, ten and a half days at sea is enough water for anybody."

hmmm that looks good. I am having a teenager over that I'm starting a study with. She asked me last night at the meeting if we could make Pizza Bake while she's here so maybe we can make dessert too. But I'm not a cook, I hardly EVER cook so I'll have to let you know how it turns out.
