The Tate Family

How many members of the TATE family belong to your congregation?

 

There is old man DICTATE who wants to have everything done his way, while Uncle ROTATE tries to change everything. There is sister AGITATE who stirs up plenty of trouble with the help of her husband IRRITATE.

 

Whenever new projects are suggested, HESITATE and his wife VEGETATE want to wait until next year.

 

Then there is Aunt IMITATE who wants our congregation to be like all the others. DEVASTATE provides the voice of doom - a very negative thinker, while POTENTATE wants to be the big shot and be in charge.

 

Sadly, there is the black sheep of the family AMPUTATE who has completely cut himself off from the congregation.

 

Fortunately, not all members of the TATE family have these difficulties. Brother FACILITATE is very helpful in congregation matters. Another delightful member of the family is sister FELICITATE.

 

Cousins COGITATE and MEDICATE always think things over very carefully and follow-up with a helpful steady hand.

The sweetest sister in our congregation is Sis Tate & Lyle  (sugar) for those not in the know.
