Love it!!  Once, We actually had a female customer tell us that she had moved to Oklahoma from Arkansas and I asked her how she liked it so far.  She seriously replied  "Oh, it's great.  In Arkansas I had to date three men to get a full set of teeth!"

An old Jeff Foxworthy rednect joke was "you may be a redneck if you go o your family reunion looking for a date"  I loved all his red neck jokes!

Sometimes the true stories are better than the jokes.  A few years back I was in Beckley, WV reading the local paper during lunch and some wrote a "letter to the editor" complaining that county officials "should not have put that deer crossing on Airport Road".  They also stated " the sign needs to be moved to a less traveled road because Airport Road is far too busy for deer to safely cross there.

Read it with my own eyes.

My father worked at a  newspaper in a small town in the western part of Virginia.  The area has alot of hunters and they would come by the newspaper office to have a photo taken of them with their "trophies" to be published in the paper.  One day a man came by with his trophy...a turkey that he had shot that morning. Proudly telling on lookers what "good eatin' " this would be.

After the man left my father told the photographer that he could not publish that photo...because it was a buzzard!

mmmm!

Does that mean you are in Radford, Blacksburg or Christiansburg congregation? My husband was born in 1939 and got the truth in Radford in 1963. His mother was a Smith!...small world..his sister lives in Dublin.

I live in Narrows.  I have been here for 3 years. My mother was introduced to the truth in Narrows in about 1967.  We then moved to Covington, where I grew up.

Our territory stops just a few miles before Dublin.

I am going to Blacksburg on Sunday to give the public talk, I am scheduled to go to Christiansburg in July.  It is my first time visiting those congregations.  I have not gotten to go to Radford yet, maybe this fall.

Even though we are in Virginia we are part of West Virginia Circuit, those congregations are assigned to Virginia so I don't know very many of the friends there

If your husband was from Radford he probably knows some of the ones in my congregation, Warners, Guslers (sister Warner studied with my mother)

It is a small world.  What part of Florida are you in?  My wife and I lived in Winterhaven / Auburndale from 1989 - 1994
