Homeland Security.. Email...

I just received an email from the Department of Homeland security. ICE

Office of International Affairs,

The Motto of ICE is Intergrity, Courage  Excellence.

National Drug Law Enforcement. Agency (NDLEA)

 

A consignment Label. No is given & a serial No,.

Is to give me Notice. & Remind me that if  I don't reply in this email within 48 hrs. They will assume

that I am A terrorist & wlll track me down.

 

We writ e to inform & update me that the UN has ordered us the Homeland to release my consignment boxes that has been in their custody from International Monetary Fund. My rightful inheritance,

Made during the last UN conference in New York,

 m t pay #380 to have them released.

 

No..1 I won't be paying this.

 I wanted to know. Is this a hoax or a mistaken Identity thing. Or should I just ignore this.

Big time hoax. Don't even open that kind of email. Spam folder immediately.

It's trying to scare you into letting them drain your bank account.

I reckon it's from Nigeria.  Many people get these scam emails and sadly quite a few reply.  

 

Are they serious that you would believe that:

 

1. You would be informed by email that they suspect you are a terrorist;

2. You would reply;

3. If you reply that means you're not a terrorist;

4. If you send money your inheritance will be released to you;

5. That even though you may be a terrorist they want to release your inheritance to you.

 

It's best you don't reply because then they will know yours is a legitimate email address.  But I would love to reply with a great big:

You should be able to research it online. Plus, I imagine the Department of Homeland Security would be VERY interested in tracking down this group for identity theft.

If ICE, or any other branch of the federal government wanted you, they wouldn't bother with the email, just show up.

 

I sometimes wonder if the Great Tribulation will be like that...
