U.s. Supreme Court To Rule On Government Invocation

It's been interesting to watch these types of cases unfold.  The courts around the world have consistently argued that they are not focusing on the religious aspects of these types of cases.  They insist that their focus is on discrimination, security or some other secular issue, but the outcome is the same, removing or at least limiting religious influence.

 

It always reminds me of the Roman attack on Jerusalem in the first century.  They were not focused on religion.  The main concern was security or the Pax Romana...

The Roman armies of the first century were designed to maintain the Pax Romana (Roman Peace), the United Nations of today is intended to be a peacekeeping instrument. Although the Roman armies tried to ensure relative safety throughout the then known world, they became the desolater of Jerusalem. Likewise today, Bible prophecy indicates that militarized powers within the United Nations will see religion as a disturbing element and will act to destroy modern-day Jerusalem—Christendom—as well as the rest of Babylon the Great.

Yes I saw that too. Then I read at the bottom -

 

"The Supreme Court is expected to rule on the case by June 2014. The court’s next term begins in October."

 

So, nothing more until June of NEXT year, but it still should be interesting. I am sure as we get closer to them hearing the case in October there will be more coverage. Then it is the waiting game until June '14.

I don't think they go by any timeline anymore - it's color of law today. Do first and ask for permission later but it's nice to know it's on their minds   - Judging by how they have jumped over the constitution and bill of rights on so many things - it's laughable to think it really matters to them at all.

I like your comment and observation about the Pax Romano and destruction of Jerusalem.  One of the things that is easy to forget is the reason that the Roman emperor decided to go into Judea and Palestine was the level of violence that was being promulgated by so-called religious “faithful”.  Today we call them religious terrorists, jihadists, sectarian terrorists and other such labels.  Basically they are zealots that are using religion and religious beliefs to justify violence.  At the time of the Roman siege of Jerusalem, there was even a group that was called “Zealots”.  We have some of those same kind of people today, called Islamic fundamentalists.  But don't forget that here in the United States, we have groups that are just as violent against others, using their own "beliefs" to justify their violence. They remind me somewhat of the feud between the Sadducees and the Pharisees and the violence that both generated against the Christians.  It seems that times have not changed that much.

 Constitution? Bill of Rights?  Man made idea's based on some support of scriptures that young America was based on after the Revolutionary War.   Prophecy is reaching it's momentum.  Daniel's prophecy of the clay and the iron, not mixing.  More n more liberals, socialistic individuals, conservatives, whatever else Satan has in this ungodly system of his, we all know are packs of lies!  Heard a talk by Br. Losch "What Does The Future Hold" and he brought out that as we near the G.T., that more n more rights of people will be gone.  Not just here, but worldwide.  A report came out last week and I want to add it on here, but not sure how to do it, since I just joined this JWtalk with the friends.   It is very interesting, since it names countries that hate religion of every kind.    Your sister

Check this out, its a little long to read, but it was put out by the U.S. State Department for 2012, on countries, worldwide that HATE religion.    We are close to the G.T., and lets all not "search out great things for ourselves", this is not the time to look & gather!     Our brothers in Oklahoma, and other Tonardo hit states are suffering perhaps loss of life.  Keep praying for them, the elders, the C.O's. and District Overseers in those hard hit areas.   Though this site doesn't talk about the Tornado's, these r just my feelings toward those of us in the faith.    Please forgive me friends, this is my first time on here, and I know you will be patient with me!
