  1. Ask your MT to request a desk from the LDC team. They have a standard design used in all refurbs and new builds. If he doesn’t know get him to ask your LDC Field Representative. Here’s one we use in the UK.
  2. I use only M (not available on Macs) to play all the media and images etc. I just drop the meetings videos etc into only m for each meeting. I use the the blank image feature when playing videos, hit share on zoom then grab the blank screen and press play on the video. Totally seamless. I've used OBS a lot but this works for me. Might PM you for a couple of ideas though.
  3. Not sure where to put this but the Welsh Opera Singer Aled Jones has included the song Listen Obey, and be And Be Blessed in a new Album Blessed. As usual ignore the comments section. He has been interviewed about the album and commented on the song. Listen, Obey And Be Blessed – a modern Jehovahs’ Witness Blessing – proved to be an unexpected gem for Aled. “Ian and I weren’t familiar with this song at all. It was like nothing I had recorded previously– taking me out of my comfort area, challenging my voice, widening my perspective, that’s really what it’s all about” Richard link is here
  4. Even in Kingdom Hall's that have have more than one Congregation that speak the same Language we set up separate User Accounts on the Computer. That way they can be set up how each congregation prefers, eg. some like a countdown timer before the meeting, some dont.
  5. Ok. For all those having issues with outlook and jwpub emails I have a few solutions I have come across supporting various brothers. First one is, don’t let Outlook try and setup your mail. Choose either manually or advanced setup. Enter your user info and set the server to eas.jwpub.org (this may different in your country so go to your inbox section on JW.org and look at the faq section under manual setup) The other thing I am seeing is the account limit of 5 devices being reached. The error email that warns of this may not be seen as you need access to your email. This you can do by logging in online to mail.jwpub.org. To reset your mobile devices go to mail.jwpub.org. Click the the options button at the bottom right, looks like three dots. Then click general options, mobile devices and delete the devices there, these are usually the ones with older login dates. On your problem device you may need to delete your account in outlook and set it up again. Hope that helps. Richard
  6. Good afternoon from the USA.  I was just asked to be the account servant in my congregation.  You referenced a summary of the recent changes and if a copy was desired to PM you.  Will you send me a copy of your summary please?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  7. http://www.jts.com.tw/english/products/detail.php?fid=1&subid=6&pid=598 Ours our the ones in the Link. JTS US 1000D. I often have to select and purchase most of the equipment we use in our hall and some others also. Although a privilege it’s a responsibility to spend the dedicated funds in the best way.
  8. We use JTS in the UK superb Mics. Been dropped and handled for many years with no problems or dropouts. They were supplied by a Brothers company. I’ll get the model no. If you are interested. rb
  9. Anybody else having the update issues with JW Library App on IOS. New iPad restored from backup. Won’t show anything for next year. Even the workbook isn’t available for this week. Tried doing the refresh from the homepage and going into the 2016 workbook tab.
  10. It’s correct pronunciation is darbysher . During the Miners Strike we had a big influx of ‘Southern’ police and they were issued with translation leaflets so they could understand the locals . Ey Up r u all rate youth (even if they are well past 60.) is a normal greeting. It’s hard not to lapse into too much of an accent while on the platform as I now live about 40 miles from where I grew up and it’s a much more neutral accent. Although I still say something like “We are now go in t sing a song” or “ Jesus whent T Temple” while on the platform. Richard
  11. The one that drives me scratty is Warick. We in the UK pronounce it Wa rik while our “friends” in the US pronounce in War-Wik . We basically ignore the r . It was even mentioned when we had a Branch Visit a couple of years ago much to our amusement. Richard
  12. Richard from Derbyshire and a Star Trek fan. I wonder if I know you... I know quite a few from Derbyshire being from Nottingham originally and helping to start the first Sign Language congregation there many moons ago.

Are you a Forest supporter then? Ha ha ha ha J/K

  13. OK, just checking that you all know that the MP4 files contain the same lyrics as the ones in the PDF and Epub of the new Songbook and that I'm sure that they all will be ready for the start of the new year. Not sure we need a running total. We have 22 Days until we NEED them after all.
  14. Totally agree about the centre speaker, often overlooked but really important. I've just upgraded mine, picked up a nice Cambridge one off eBay cost me about £45 cost about £225 new. Less risky getting these second hand as they are far less prone to being abused and overloaded. rb
