Mount McKinley renamed to Denali

Recommended Posts

Here president Obama renamed Mount McKinley to its original  Athabaskan name Denali and many are crying about this. Athabaskan it the group of people that my DNA is connected to. Now this is where iron mix with  clay come into play and that is when people has no clear agenda of they complaining about.

Coming from Germany, I don't really care what to call the mountain but if they renamed the Zugspitze into some indogermanic original name, I can safely assume most people would continue calling it the Zugspitze.

I like your comparison to the clay mixed with iron. It's seriously like they have no other problems than what words to use to describe things and places.

If you pickup a map of America, then you will see the of towns, lakes, rivers, etc, in USA are Native American names. Mount Denali is one of them. It was renamed in 1917 to Mount McKinley and now it is back  to it original name Denali. :indian:  :indian:  :indian:

If they named it "Kowalski Mount" at least we could relate Kowalski jokes :P)ha ha ha

Why would he do that?

Is there some political reason for him to do this?
