This is an old 1956 commerical for Aeroplane Jelly I was reminded of this jingle last night they showed the boy on the box of the jelly. He is now 88,

But this ad was quite common up an til 10yrs or so back like many other Aussie Ads.

Now another company owns the Aeroplane Jelly. just like vegemite and Arnotts Tim Tams.

So its a jingle I was stating,

but I thought it sounded like a commercial jingle you were singing...

 

   do tell dear sister, just what exactly does one do with Aeroplane Jelly??        never heard of it in my corner of the world

Aeroplane is just a company brand, Like Hersey chocolates.

I think you might say jello instead as well.

 Some say jelly is like a jam or spread.

My kids love the jelly shots in the little plastic tubs. 
another is a desert. Icecream and fruit or jelly. Or a triffle a french layered desert with cake and liquors and fruit and custard and cream. 

Hope I explain clear enough.

We have a sister in our congregation who makes wonderful sherry trifle, but we had to confine her to adult get-togethers for the amount of sweet Spanish Rich Cream Sherry (fortified wine from Jerez in Spain) she soaks her cake in, for the bottom layer of the Trifle, then the fruit in jelly layer (soft canned strawberries or cherries I like); then the creamy vanilla custard layer; then the cream layer; then coloured sprinkles or chocolate shavings. YUm!
