Joseph F. Rutherford was the second president of the Watch Tower Society. He was baptized in 1906 as a Bible Student—the designation Jehovah’s Witnesses were then known by—was appointed the Society’s legal counsel the following year, and became its president in January 1917. Judge Rutherford was an atheist?

Not sure of  being an atheist but checked from Proclaimers book on page 67 in the box J.F Rutherfords Background..it starts by saying he was born of Baptist parents.

It is not stating wether he changed to be an atheist in between 1869 to 1906(from birth to being a jw)

His short story to the truth is very interesting...you may wish to read the story... Proclaimers book on page 67 in the box
