We dont have it yet, but my wife just ordered us a 3rd Gen Kindle.....it should be here in a couple of days.

It looks like an interesting gadget/widget, if it is as nice as all the reviews, it should come in handy.....it appears that you can get an astonishing amount of material on one....to carry all those books around, if they were hardcopy, you would need a couple of wheel barrows!....

I'll let y'all know how it goes----

Mine is back ordered, so I'll have to wait at least two weeks. It is available at the store near me, but it is 13 miles away and there is snow and ice on the ground and I am not going to be driving.

Here is a helpful link for ebooks archives of older publications of ours

Yes, patience is a virtue, and driving under those conditions may not be prudent...best to wait, it will get there-----

Thank you so much for that link to the WTarchives....that site is awesome!....went right to my 'favorites'..lol...

If you are one that has been serving Jehovah for many years, you remember, "From Paradise Lost To Paradise Regained".

Here is the link to download the ebook. "From Paradise lost to paradise regained"

My parents got the Truth in 1963, when I was 9yrs old...I was baptized in 1973....I am almost certain that my mother has my copy of that book, in a box, somewhere---

I have a copy of that book, I remember the pictures so well :) it was my study book, I was baptised in 1976

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

I'm afraid I am a little old fashioned and like to only read the hard copies of magazines :lol2:

I'm the same way. I love reading and I read all the time especially at night while I am in bed. My husband has suggested getting me one, but the idea of not holding a book, the anticipation of turning the page and seeing what's next, just seems weird to me, lol.

Thanks for that link, Barbara, but that is the 1950 songbook.

The 1966 was "Singing and Accompanying Yourselves With Music In Your Hearts".

I would be very interested to see a scanned copy of that, too.

I was aware that it wasn't the one you asked for. I just wanted to give you_ _something.:innocent:

I've got an iPad, which is a nice size for the Watchtower & Awake! Pdf's. I have also set up a website monitoring site that notify's me of any changes to the website of my choosing. I've got it set up to monitor Jw.org and strictly genteel, that way I'm alerted and can download the latest PDFs onto my device. With the Wt library files on meekspace and the study articles available I'm considering a bag and paper free meeting!!! But I don't want to offend or stumble anyone so I'll carry on the old fashioned way. (td)

I love that book! My mother taught me to read using that and the songbook. I could quote from memory several of the first pages. I was baptized in '69

I found a copy of the Isilo 2009 WTLIB files and installed a demo version of Isilo to my Nokia X6 - so far so good, apart from the small screen this looks really good. I would rather have these on a small tablet computer but it is cool having the Society's literature in my pocket. Now to scrape together the $20 to pay for Isilo.

The orange Paradise book was simply one of the BEST publications ever:exclamation:

You can still find original hard cover copies on eBay.

(Deuteronomy 28:3)  “Blessed you will be in the city, and blessed you will be in the field.

Being blessed by Jehovah is not contingent on location, assignment or circumstances.

Well, we got our Kindle, complete w/ WiFi, 3G and the cover...

This thing is cool, it is very easy to read, it has a non-reflective screen that I assume will be easy to read in the sun, if I ever see the sun again---(winter in Iowa, bleh--)

The cover is nice, the light plenty bright enough to read by, all the different functions and capabilities make it an interesting and quiet usefull tool....I am going to stuff tons of things on it and see how it all works out....if anyone has any questions in particular, ask away and I'll try to answer them.....so far, I like it---
