When the snow was really bad here, my wife just stared through the window.

I thought, if it gets any worse, I'll have to let her in! :lol2:

I hope you can cook

:whistling:

Yes, I can! But my wife has a great sense of humour too, thank goodness, so it won't come to that - this time! :D

I thought Chicago and the northern USA had lots of snow every winter? We had a sister in our congregation who was from Buffalo and she used to tell us about the freezing temperatures and deep snow in the winters there. (She now lives on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily!)

I love humour!

Perhaps I should start a 'funnies' topic? Jokes that are suitable for brothers tend to be in short supply these days.

Elizabeth - I'm sorry your topic has been somewhat sidetracked by my intervention of snow-related humour. I do actually sympathize with your plight in the snow. We had a few inches here in London and the city was almost at a standstill. I can't get out of the house if there's the slightest ice on the ground.

I understand....it was the first time we had quiet on our street ( from car noise ) in ( ever that I can remember )

But as far as your comment about snow levels

"I thought Chicago and the northern USA had lots of snow every winter? We had a sister in our congregation who was from Buffalo and she used to tell us about the freezing temperatures and deep snow in the winters there. (She now lives on the slopes of Mount Etna in Sicily!) "

Chicago is in the Midwest not in NY( Buffalo ( we get snow just not 20 inches @ once when it paralyzes the buses ( CTA ) and the emergency workers ( EMT's ) then you know you have a problem ) )

I may be tired and in pain :wheelchair: but I'll never   :surrender: to it just send some encouraging words or hugs  :kisscheek:  :encourage:  and I'll return the same   :kisscheek:  :encourage:
