No more Bin Laden?

Recommended Posts

i suppose it has more to do with our promoting our thoughts insisting we see events having a certain role, beyond what the 'slave' is telling us? perhaps?

question then would be....Are we promoting our thoughts by posting them here on this forum?

I have not heard anyone insist that they see events having a certain role......

it is a fine line however.....we must be very careful.

i haven't seen that either. it is a very dignified forum here.

Yes it is... and all of us are careful with our comments

You can't walk with God while holding hands with the Devil.

I agree 100%. We need to be careful that we don't somehow get involved with an opinion because then Satan will know our innermost feelings on this and maybe use it to try to draw us into taking sides. The people on both sides of this are certainly not serving Jehovah so He is the one who will take care of all of this. All we have to do is wait and endure.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.

Isn't it fitting that the July Watchtower is about Terrorism !!! I saw the cover @ JW.Org but haven't gotten maginzine @ Kingdom Hall yet so I haven't read the articles. It is truly amazing that our info is so timely.

If you have a PDF file viewer , like Adobe Acrobat .. you can download that magazine and read it as soon as it's online :-)

This is the warning that was published in my local newpaper today:-

"be aware of unsolicited emails that claim to have pics of Osama. The FBI warn they may contain a virus that can steal personal info."

I was in the same frame of mind as many of you have been when I first heard about Osama, this might result in the call of Peace & Security. But then I remembered that it will come when we least expect it. How many of you remember 1975? Plus just because Osama is dead doesn't mean that's the end of his "organization". I think the worst is yet to come because Satan is more active than ever.

However with all the things that have happened world wide in the last few months, we can feel the end is so close. It sends shivers down my spine to think that the end is in sight.

Not much longer now.>:D< :readbible::peace:

Very good point Vernalee. I seem to recall a WT we had some years back which reassured us that while Jehovah can read our hearts and 'hear' our unspoken meditations, Satan cannot read our mind! So if we have a thought and don't express it, Satan is none the wiser.

It made a big impression on me. And it strengthens me to know that while it would be nice to not have any unseemly ideas, we are flawed humans, so we do .... but if we remain dignified and only express the positive views which have Jehovah's approval, then we are safeguarded.

I think too of watching TV. If something is announced as having material which could offend, or extreme violence or whatever, and we turn it off immediately, Satan sees us do that and it 'disempowers' him .... he retreats from us a little. Whereas if we were to continue watching Satan could also see that and rub his hands together and plan on drawing us in with 'gradualism'.

It's nice getting older and wiser :-) Satan bothers me less and less as time goes by. He's running out of ammo to use on me.... haha!

I agree about the wiser but I hate the getting older part.
