 Many paid a lot for software for anti-porn, Here some steps to do it for free:

 

 1. Go to network Sharing Center

 

 2. Click Local Area Connection

 

 3. Click Properties

 

 4. Click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)

 

 5. Then Click Properties

 

 6. Use the following DNS server address

 

 7. Then replace your Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server address with 208.67.222.123 (top half) and 208.67.220.123 (bottom half)

 

 8. Then click ok or maybe Advance

 

 It might take 1 minute or up to an hour to work. And best wishes

I don't have any problem with porn popping up on my computer si I have never needed "expensive software" to stop it ..... nor have I needed alternative DNS servers .....

These DNS addresses are part of a service called FamilyShield Parental Controls from OpenDNS.com.

 

If you want to manually configure the block to be stricter, or include other categories (drugs, violence, etc), you can register for a free personal account through the same company.

In my experience, OpenDNS has a lot of false positives, and new sites might be slow to get added to the filter.

 

While it is a good tool for some households, it's no substitute for proper supervision. (If visible supervision isn't always possible, router-based logging is an easy way to monitor someone's online activities.)
