One of the schools I attended had enough lit cherry bombs flushed down the upstairs toilets (seems cherry bombs had waterproof fuses) that they had installed removable panels in the downstairs restrooms so they could easily fix the plumbing - of course, this was when cherry bombs could easily be bought and these things were pranks, not "bombings"

Kids these days aren't very well educated.

At eleven I could make a bomb that would work.

I was also smart enough at eleven not to do it.

A little carbide, a little water, tight container and run!

I was making carbide bombs younger than that.... :D

you need a fuse...

For a real bang:

Cherry bomb and a can of starter fluid (ether) in a closed box - light it, close the box and run like the wind

I assume you mean to leave the can of ether in the box, not spray it in the box... :nuke:
