Our weather has been so volatile. We've had a LOT of rain. Flooding in Oregon and WA is incredible, some places being deemed catastrophic.

I drive across the Oregon/Washington bridge every day and have to say the stuff in the river is amazing. Tons of stuff. It's too dangerous for vessels to go in there so they closed it.

Drove to Woodburn today for CA tomorrow, lots of flooding along the way. Sad to see it. Many places have a Federal Alert about them. On the beach we have such good drainage so we don't have to worry. But the Columbia is really something to see. I tried to take a pic the other day but it didn't turn out very good.

Drove to the beach and it's really high, it comes up to the beach approach road, for those who don't know what that is it's the road to get onto the "beach" it's generally about ohhhhhh, what maybe 100 yards (Jerry help me out here, I'm terrible with measurements) from the water. Yesterday it was barely 10 yards from the road. WOW!

I saw a news video of the waves going over hwy 101 in Depoe Bay. Beverly Beach State Park campground is closed because of high surf. Wanted to see some of it in person but with land slides and sink holes closing roads we decided to stay close to home.

It's a good thing to stay home. An older couple tried to go through a place that frequently floods, he underestimated it, car filled with water, he crawled out the sunroof but his wife drown, as he was on top of the roof, tragic. He had gone through several road blocks and didn't 'listen to the warnings" Boy are we ever told about that! Look what happens- loss of life.

A local brother passed a sign saying road closed to all except 'local' traffic.

He made the newspapers, great photo, his new red car in the middle of a lake.

$600 tow bill. How much to dry out electronics?

He said "I Am local." Must be different iterpretations of local.

I assume that 'local' means those that know they need a big truck to use that road when it rains...
