NETFLIX-- any good shows or movies?

We have the basic membership. Are there any movies or shows you could recommend?

There are so many good things to watch!  I tend to binge myself, being a spinster with a cat, but I'll think on it and offer some recommendations! 

 

What sort of films do you like?

I should have mentioned that we have already watched quite a few shows and need new ideas.

Right now we are watching Murdoch Mysteries. We love all the Nature Documentaries.

We are looking for a show we can watch with the kids and for a show/movies for us grown ups.

It's so hard to find something that has no violence, bad language, immorality, spiritism, but is also interesting. 

 

I like mysteries and thrillers... I don't like comedies.

I will second rosemary and thyme and of course there is Star Trek

I really like British TV productions.  

 

Broadchurch for the adults.  Sherlock, if you haven't seen it.  Wallender with Kenneth Branagh. The Bletchley Circle.  Inspector Morse.  Call the Midwife is VERY good- not just a chick flick.  Death Comes to Pemberley. An Idiot Abroad - it's a comedy travel show... laughing til you cry, though!

 

Movies-  Scapegoat.  Arranged.  Happy.  Children of Heaven (the whole family! ).  Music of the Heart.  Jack Strong.  Philomena.
