POP QUIZ!! FAVOURITE FRUIT.

Recommended Posts

My favourite food of all times is fruit (with the exception of lobster maybe)- that would include both sweet and savoury fruits like tomatoes, courgettes, cucumbers and the like.

Over the past weeks I'm flabbergasted at the variety of sweet fruit I've not yet tried, so thought what I'd do today is use a timer (2min) and type out all the fruits I have actually tried.

(Hopefully I can set an amount that would prove a challenge for you to beat).

Rules are ... don't read others posts until you have done yours ... and you have 2 mins to name all the fruit you have tried in your life. Lets see how many new ones we get to know about.

You MAY include tinned fruit.

I will do the first 2 min test ... and then sit back and watch you guys.

Oooh what is a henfruit?  I've just learnt of eggfruit, chocolatepudding fruit, peanutbutter fruit, and of course there is breadfruit ... Lychees (i pronounce it lie - cheese - some pronounce lee cheese)  and are white translucent flesh, perfumed and usually very sweet.

Feijoa, or also known as Pineapple Guava, is prolifec in NZ at certain times, and to me they are the queen of fruits ... with a pear like flesh that is sweet/tart and a centre of edible seeds that looks like mashed banana, and is very sweet with a highly perfumed taste. If you eat the skin it is bitter as well, so a range of tastes that dance on your tongue.

Another of my favourite fruit is Tamarillo or Tree Tomato, slighly more bitter than most fruit, but there is a sweetness as well, it really enjoy this one very much. If you put it in your fruit salad it turns it bright purple.

(I forgot i did this thread sorry haha).

oh. He just sounds tougher.

He is tougher. He has my utmost respect. He has lived and endured things that I don't think I would have been able to do....and he came back to Jehovah...

Wow. What a lovely comment Bro Richard.  I love his comments too - find them very faith strengthening. (The cackleberry one ... not so much).  Hope his ears aren't burning.

Heh very good. I've seen a custard apple but haven't tried it. I missed out pommegranet in my list - love those. What is a muskmelon? We get Jackfruit here ... many of the islanders (Fijians, Tevaluans, Samoans) love that fruit.
