Modesty is not something we can simply define in a way that suits us.

Say what you mean. Mean what you say. But don't say it mean.

I think you should write some directions and fix the look of it a little and sell the plans. That is really a great idea.(<img src=)'>

Thanks for posting this as it brought a smile to my face. It brought back fond memories for me... You see, my Mom sent this little tip in to her local newspaper shortly before she died last year. She was always coming up with helpful household tips.

This is great! Now I don't need to throw all those cords away... or the 'cardboard tubes' as they used to call them on Blue Peter. That's a kids TV programme that used to tell you how to make things out of washing up bottles and 'sticky back plastic'. It's funny because when they said 'cardboard tubes', YOU know they meant 'toilet roll middles'...

They would run around the house with them up to their mouths making the appropriate sound. We had lots of musicals going on in the bathroom.

  • 2 weeks later...

My little old lovebird Timmy loves running through our 'cardboard tubes' then tossing them about and chewing at them - great toys for him, eventually their battered remains end up in the garden compost. My late grandma, who was a great recycler, she had an old English saying:"Waste not, Want not!(Explanation = Waste nothing and you will want for nothing)
