If this court rules against them, .......................potentially threatening the religious freedom of Jehovah’s Witnesses throughout Russia. As a result of this negative ruling ..............................the Prosecutor General may begin court proceedings for the liquidation of the Administrative Center.

.........pray for our brothers  and leave it in Jehovah 's hand.....

The alleged “extremist activity” was actually the result of fabricated evidence and false statements orchestrated by local authorities. The judge refused to allow the defendants to present witnesses to testify at the hearing or video recordings confirming several incidents of so-called extremist literature being planted in places of worship of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Is it just me, or do these Russian court proceedings have all of the vestiges and trappings of a kangaroo court?

That's an interesting way of putting it. (...and you're not even from Australia!) You're not the only one who thinks that way. It's pretty clear the court is deliberately trying to hide the evidence against the prosecutors, and so they refuse to listen to it.

I'm just judging it by the "Duck test." (or 'Kangaroo test'?)

The kangaroo court is our old russian tradition.
